COVID-19 Procedures
My practice has slowly opened for in person neuropsychological evaluations. I am taking the following precautions that I believe make this a safe, valid, and comfortable evaluation process.
- I will only see one client per day, with surfaces wiped down with alcohol before and after sessions. Everyone washes their hands when entering the building.
- Use of the waiting room will be minimized (one parent waiting if the child is too young or anxious to allow for outside waiting).
- Paper and writing materials will be prepared with clean hands and a mask in advance, to minimize transfer during testing. Computer keyboard is wiped down with alcohol and the examiner uses Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for computer assisted tests. If any child to examiner transfer is required, the examiner will clean hands prior (Purell).
- A plexiglass screen will be used on my office desk so testing interaction can occur in addition to wearing masks.
- Masks will be worn by child, examiner and parent whenever in the building, at all times.
- An air purifier will be on in the testing room during testing.
